Posted Date: 9/24/25 (7:35 AM)

On Monday morning, Windsor Police Department deputies visited Windsor Middle School to talk with students about the importance of bike and e-bike safety. Deputies focused on e-bike regulations, safe riding practices, and reminded everyone that helmets are required when riding. Four citations were issued, but the main goal was education and keeping students safe. 🚲⚡

Parents – Talk to Your Kids About E-Bike Safety
Electric bikes are fun and convenient, but they can also be dangerous if not ridden responsibly. Please take a moment to talk with your kids about:

• Wearing a helmet every time they ride.
• Following the rules of the road—stop signs, traffic lights, and speed limits apply to e-bikes.
• Riding respectfully around pedestrians, vehicles, and other cyclists.
• Staying alert—no headphones, phones, or distractions while riding.
