Chadwick “comes home” to assistant principal role at Cali Calmécac Language Academy
PRESS RELEASE
Windsor, Calif.—The Windsor Unified School District (WUSD) is pleased to announce that Patricia Chadwick has been selected assistant principal at Cali Calmécac Language Academy (CCLA) for the 2026-27 school year. Chadwick has been performing in this role since October of 2025, when previous assistant principal Beatriz Robles chose to return to the classroom. Chadwick has served as principal for both CCLA and Mattie Washburn Elementary, but is thrilled to be returning to the campus she considers home.
“Being back at Cali has been so healing and important,” Chadwick said. “I’m grateful and thrilled to be back and be in a position where I can really support our staff and students.”
Chadwick brings 15 years of experience as a teacher, as well as five years at the administrative level. She holds a multiple-subject teaching credential, an administrative services credential and a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration. Chadwick began her career in the Franklin-McKinley School District in Santa Clara County. She spent 10 years teaching in grades Kindergarten through second grade, and five years teaching fourth grade at CCLA.
She served as assistant principal at CCLA from 2021 to 2022, principal at CCLA from 2022 to 2023, and the principal at Mattie Washburn from 2023 to October of 2025.
“Patricia has so many outstanding qualities,” said Human Resources Director Pete Sullivan. “We know her love for Cali is profound, and that her partnership with Principal Lidia Teruel-Albert and Assistant Principal Flora Hurtado is incredibly strong. We were so appreciative of her stepping into the AP role at Cali in October, and are thrilled the CCLA Staff has selected Patricia to be their Assistant Principal going forward.”
That collaborative mindset is key to Chadwick’s goals for her new position. “Working in isolation is not how I work best,” Chadwick said. “It’s all about working together as a team and collectively doing whatever it takes for the good of our students. I bring not only deep institutional knowledge and established relationships, but also expanded perspectives that allow me to effectively support the admin team and school community."
“Simply put, Patricia is an asset to our district,” said Superintendent Jeremy Decker. “We are excited to see her excel in her new role.”
In her spare time, Chadwick enjoys watching Bay Area sports with her husband (they’re Giants, 49ers and Warriors fans) or enjoying the sunshine and outdoors together.
Chadwick is eager to continue her work at CCLA with the same dedication, passion, and collaboration as she brings to all her work. “I know and care deeply about the community; relationships run deep,” she said. “I’ve found myself working with staff, students and families again after a few years away and picking up where we left off. Relationships and trust run deep, which makes continuing the work lighter and full of joy.
“I am eager to once again contribute to a school community that played such an important role in my own growth as an educator, leader, and as a person,” Chadwick concluded.
